One full week of providing my own entertainment....

Okay, so this blogging thing sucks without a camera! There are so many fun things I could write about, but I don't have a camera to take pictures. And seriously, who wants to read all my rantings without some artistic expression nuzzled in every other paragraph or so to liven things up? Well screw you, you have to! I took my camera swimming in Cabo, and it just never recovered from fluid overload :(

So, with the man out of town this week to Cali, what's a poor girl to do but hang out with a bunch of chicks (and psychics)? :) Lexie and I shared a fantastic bottle of shiraz (her low opinion doesn't count) and drooled over 4th season McSteamy after we had our tarot cards read in the SCARIEST trailor park I've ever been to! Seriously, I called my mom and gave her the address in case we showed up missing! But anyway, apparently I have great things in store in the very near future ;) Lotto, here I come! Lol

And last night, after I cleaned up the discusting mess of my now ex-roommate and moved Easton back into his own room, my sis and I ran away together for some yummy Chinese. Food. :) Nothing like leftover Chinese, so I eat it mucho! When we got back home and got back to cleaning, I found a little bag of those pink foam curlers that your mom puts in your hair when you're 5? Naturally, I had to put them in! So Lex came to visit me again after I had my amazing new updo, and we decided to try our hand at gourmet cookery. Halfway into our confectionary creations (ok, one ingredient in), it became incredibly obvious that I was short on ingredients! So we took off for Wal-Mart (I figured I would fit right in with my curlers) and ended up getting a horrendous amount of groceries, plus four pumpkins, for $30. NOW I know why people shop there! And I didn't even have to worry about my hair fixins!

We then went back to my place and met my sis and my cousin Tori for some pumpkin carvin. In the midst of carving Obama, Biden, McCain, and Palin the Pirate (I accidently gouged her eye out, so I gave her a patch) into our pumpkins, we kind of forgot about half our baking-eries. Lex didn't butter the brownie pan, so they stuck to the bottom even tho they were undercooked.... The first batch of cookies turned out well, but we burnt the second batch.... We couldn't properly fluff meringue for our key lime pie so it doesn't look right, being that it's green/brown.... But the muffins were awesome, as were the roasted pumpkin seeds from the very pumpkins we carved. (Actually, I hated the seeds, but everyone else loved them!) And everyone that was at my place yesterday to share in the eatings of my food is still alive today! See? Gourmet chef!
